The recently renovated Baretto replaces the previous Pilu Kiosk. True to its name (baretto means “small bar” in Italian), the venue serves Italian bar food in a relaxed style overlooking spectacular Freshwater Beach.
The breakfast and lunch service continues as before but now offers a more extensive menu including egg and pancetta rolls made to order, freshly baked cakes and muffins, a selection of panini, salads, salumi, fried snacks and naturally, great coffee.
In addition, the Baretto now trades into the evening on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, open till 9pm. Daylight savings will see the Baretto open every evening.
The wine list is all-Italian, all by the glass with a focus on the region of Sardinian wine. The Baretto also serves great classic cocktails – Negronis and Aperol Spritz, a Sardinian along with some local beers.
